What to Expect

We believe that you will experience God's love in palpable ways and, hopefully, leave energized to love God and serve in the Kingdom in even greater ways!

What can I expect on a Sunday morning?

What should I wear?

We are more concerned about meeting your needs & helping you discover Jesus than what you wear, so dress comfortably!  Our people show up on Sundays wearing anything from traditional Sunday attire, business casual, to shorts (which reflects our beach community).  No matter what you wear, the important thing is that you come!

What if I have questions when I arrive?

Greeters will welcome you at the main entrance through the courtyard.  If you have any questions, we are here for you!

What if I have small children?

Your kids are a precious gift from God!  GraceDestin strives to be a family-friendly church so that family members of every age know how very important they are to their Heavenly Father and to the church.  We desire that your child's first experience with God's house is one marked by love and security.  We hope that this ministry frees you up to experience god in worship and/or Bible study in a meaningful way!  It is important to us that you are able to entrust your child to the nursery staff with peace of mind that he or she will be well taken care of.  To accomplish this, we have established some guidelines with your child's safety and security in mind.

  • AGE - Children, birth through four years old, are welcome in our nursery!
  • BEEPERS - When you bring your child to the nursery (located in our education building), we ask that you first check in with a nursery worker.  Your child will get a name tag and you will receive a beeper.  If at any time during your child's stay in the nursery you attention is needed, the beeper will vibrate to alert you.  When you are ready to pick up your child, you will need to return the beeper to the nursery staff.
  • HEALTH - For the health of all the children, we ask that if your child has had a runny nose, eye discharge, fever, active cough, vomiting, diarrhea or any contagious illness in the last 24 hours, that you refrain from bringing him or her into the nursery.  We like to share lots of love and joy, but not the bugs!
  • CAREGIVERS - There are two nursery staff workers present at all times.  These workers are teamed up with authorized volunteers each week so that there is always at least three adults providing care for the children.
  • ACTIVITIES - Our nursery is filled with toys for children of different ages.  We also have Christian-based videos, books and Bible stories.  Occasionally there will be a craft opportunity for the older kids.
  • SNACKS - Snacks such as vanilla wafers and goldfish are provided.  Please alert nursery personnel to any allergies, or if you do not wish you child to have snacks!
