Grace Foundation

In order to continue to affect our ability to impact the world around us, Grace Lutheran Church has established a foundation caleed The Grace Foundation of Destin. The Foundation manages a fund that is distributed to worthy oranizations through a Grant Review process. Grant Applications are submitted and reviewed by the Board of Trustees twice a year, in the spring and fall. The Foundation also allows individuals to make gifts that continue to work in perpetuity as the gifts grow with the Grant Fund and become part of the Grant Award process.

The Mission of The Grace Foundation:

To the honor of Jesus Christ, The Grace Foundation of Destin seeks to extend the healing and hope of Jesus through Grace Lutheran Church to our community and beyond, helping thos in need wherever they may be found.

Grant Proposals are reviewed twice annually and proposals are accepted for:

Those that impact an underserved and disadvantged group of people
Programs with clearly defined objectives, qualified and committed leadership, and measurable outcome
Programs that connect service-recipients to Grace's faith values
Capital projects that support programs and goals as described above

Grant Proposals are discouraged for:

Ordinary Operating expenses
Specific individuals when their efforts are compliant with our values
Unrestricted grants

The next Grant cycle is in process and the deadline for submission is April 30, 2010
