Eastern Europe

Grace has been involved in Eastern European Missions for approximately 8 years. The Mission to Eastern Europe is quite different and complex, yet very important.  Europe's history can be traced back to the time of Christ, but sadly it is mo longer a Christian continent.  This creates a unique mission field.  Europe, in general, is "Post-Christian".  This means we are not working with people that have no knowledge of Christianity, but rather with people who have been "immunized" against the Gospel through secularism, communism and the historical tensions between the Orthodox/Catholic Churches and Evangelical Churches.  This situation is consistent across all of Europe, but the Eastern European countries have even more to contend with.  There remains a great shadow of the communist past.  Part of the residue is evident in the attitudes of people.  As we work in these countries we must put these attitudes into perspective.  Though this mission field is difficult, it remains a vastly important priority.

The Eastern European Mission is an equipping mission that desires to develop capabilities within country.  this includes overall strategic planning, ministry planning, ministry training, and is supported financially as well as through the sending of teams.

The mission accomplishes this through:

  • Learning Seminars
  • Long Term Relationships
  • Modeling
  • Partnering
  • Youth Alive International Events
  • Specific Training Opportunities
  • Family Camp
Grace's European parnter congregations currently include:
  • Estonia:  Nomme Rahu
  • Slovakia:  Kosice
  • Poland:  Bielsko Biala
