Men

The Men's Ministry at Grace offers as much variety as you can imagine.  We have guys from all walks of life, from every age group, and cover almost every type of interest.  We have opportunities to get together in large groups, attend events, host events and activities, and also break out into smaller gruops.

We call ourselves GMEN (Grace Men) and we hang out with guys from other churches, other denominations, and with guys that don't go to church.  You're welcome to check us out anytime and participate if you want - or just hang with us as much as you feel comfortable.

Our goal here at Grace is to equip men to lead, both in the home (1 Timothy 3:4, 12) and in the church (1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9; 2:1-2, 6-8).

We also get together for big events as well:
  • The Golden Throne Challenge:  The GMEN take on the Youth in our annual football game.  Guys from all over the community join us as we fight for bragging rights and the ever-popular Golden Throne Trophy!  So far, the Youth lead the series 2-1, but they have had the help of a Heisman Trophy winning QB the last two years.  This year will be different!!!
  • The Tacky Bowling Challenge:  Here is where the GMEN usually get even with the Youth.  Once again, we challenge the youth ... but this time in Bowling.  Total pins win the event and the winner keeps the Bowling Trophy for the year.  Oh, and we must dress "tacky" - this is not a stretch for most of us!
  • Promise Keepers Events:  We load the bus each year and head to the nearest PK Conference - usually in Atlanta.  Sometimes we get together with guys from other churches and ride the bus together.  We also attend local PK events as well.

We work together too.  There are many service projects throughout the year - either as part of a bigger event (like PK), or stand alone project.

  • Supper on Saturday - On the 2nd Saturday of every month from 1-4pm, we deliver meals to people living in trailer parks in Niceville.  We have a great time serving others!  If you would like more details, please contact Mike Wind  or Wayne Brown.
